A joyride through Hell with Nicolas Cage! Director Mark Steven Johnson, of Daredevil fame, delivers a delightfully dark action-thriller with his Satanic superhero fantasy motion-picture show Ghost Rider (2007). I wish the sequel were as cool as Ghost Rider because this film entertains me still even after over a dozen viewings. Johnson milks plenty of crazy jokes out of his living skeleton. What a fun movie. Likewise Moonstruck and Raising Arizona, Ghost Passenger is easily my favorite Nicolas Muzzle movie. Marking Steven Johnson's writing is earnest in his romance and character development for Johnny Blaze and Roxanne, while paying respect to the comic book stylings of Satanic powers, Old Testament mythology, and deals with The Devil. It'southward a neat story that any comic book or heavy metal fan will beloved. Ghost Rider possesses you with its cool effects, charming characters, and hilarious functioning from Muzzle. Johnson's management has a Gothic and Western experience to his moody adventure Ghost Rider. I similar that he leans into the cool and dark comic book stylings with a heartfelt heart towards his characters. The activity is exciting and fast with a whimsical nature. He effortlessly jumps from one-act and romance to serious drama and Gothic activeness thrills. Producers David S. Goyer, Michael De Luca, and Stan Lee were smart to get Marker Steven Johnson to directly Ghost Rider as he pulls off a skull of burn down saving lives from the wicked and demonic on World. God, I beloved Ghost Rider. Nicolas Cage's hero Johnny Blaze is both a killer stunt jumper like Evel Knievel mixed with a suave Elvis until he turns into the flaming skull as Ghost Rider. He's naturally funny equally he delivers ridiculous dialogue with absolute sincerity. He's charismatic every bit the conflicted Blaze, while wicked absurd as Ghost Rider. Eva Mendes is sweet and charming as Roxanne Simpson. She really looks voluptuous in Ghost Rider with a lovely face, sexy accent, and gorgeous body. Mendes was a peachy actress with disarming delivery. She has a surprisingly nice romantic chemical science with Nicolas Cage. Sam Elliott is calm, enigmatic, and intriguing as Carter Slade the Phantom Rider. His monologues are enthralling due to Elliott's distinctly deep voice and breviloquent delivery. Wes Bentley (American Beauty and The Hunger Games) is gripping, intense, and fun equally Blackheart the Black King. He gleefully delivers demonic dialogue like it'south nix. Peter Fonda is dope equally The Devil all clad in black. Fonda was cool in Easy Rider and he has that same effortless reassured nature to his Mephistopheles in Ghost Rider that works. Donal Logue is pretty funny as Blaze's concerned stunt commuter pal Mack. I all the same find Insubordinate Wilson's cameo as the goth girl in the alley that Ghost Rider saves to be hilarious. Editor Richard Francis-Bruce'south sharp cuts allow the dramatic scenes to play out steadily without obnoxious fast cuts. He makes Ghost Rider experience similar a demonic Western take chances with lingering horror. 114 minutes passes by in an instant every bit Ghost Rider hardly ever slows down. I actually wish Ghost Rider was longer. Russell Boyd's cinematography has stunning wide shots of Ghost Rider driving down roads with timeless shots of the fire coming off his wheels. I love his lingering close-upward shots for most of the character moments to allow you focus on the emotionally resonating moments. He does not bad Western looking shots as well. Peter Russell, Richard Hobbs, Margot Gear up, and Miles Teves' art management brings Ghost Rider to life with comic book accuracy and heavy metallic aesthetics. The skull and bones covered metallic motorbike for Ghost Rider is as great as his chattering skull and constantly burning attic. The skeleton hands everywhere are very fun. Suza Maybury and Jenny Hitchcock's prepare decoration is filled with Satanic mythology books, candy, and stunt passenger memorabilia for Johnny Blaze'due south grapheme. Production designer Kirk M. Petruccelli's sets for the haunting churches and graveyards are really dandy and realistic. Kevin Scott Mack's visual furnishings are really impressive. From the flaming boots and blazing skull on Nicolas Muzzle to really sell you on Ghost Rider. The crackling flames look real. I capeesh the detail in the skin searing abroad and the smoke coming off Ghost Rider. The flaming trail coming off Ghost Passenger's bicycle to the burning chain is really crawly. Even Blackheart'southward blackening kills to the wind and water villains have neat CGI. Ghost Rider'due south visual effects are groundbreaking for the fourth dimension. Yous really believe Ghost Rider's skull and skeleton hands to his molten lava hardening foes. Ghost Passenger'southward gaze into pain technique through his inferno-like optics is a thrilling outcome to this 24-hour interval! Composer Christopher Young delivers a growling, epic, and eerie score for Ghost Rider. His throttling engine roars into the front end of the sonic mix on top of his chugging guitar and symphonic music. There'south elements of hard stone and heavy metal in Young'south theme whenever Ghost Rider appears. I like his gentle romance theme music for Johnny Bonfire and Roxanne. Young's bombastic music really makes the movie! Sound designers Dane A. Davis, John Dunn, David A. Whittaker, Donald Pic, Eric Lindemann, Greg Hedgepath, Bill R. Dean, Greg Orloff, Gary C. Conservative, and Simon Coke really had some creative choices. They add bass and echo to the demonic actors' voices for depth. Ghost Passenger'south booming skeletal voice is creepy and absurd. Their sound mixing blares the rock and metal music, while assuasive you lot to clearly hear everyone's dialogue. Lizzy Gardiner's costume design is absurd for Nicolas Muzzle with all leather everything for Johnny Blaze. I love Ghost Passenger's studded black leather jacket with jet blackness boots and black shirt. He looks awesome. Roxanne'southward dresses are very sultry and flattering on Eva Mendes. The devil characters have cool blackness trench-coats with silvery buttons. Ilona Herman, Liz Harper, and Louise Coulston's make-up for Eva Mendes ensures she appears at her most beautiful than she e'er looked in whatsoever other film. In conclusion, Ghost Rider is a very absurd film with cool furnishings like the flaming skull and a fiercely entertaining operation from Nicolas Cage.

Ghost Passenger is an oddly paced film with an oddly assembled bandage (in my opinion). Ghost Passenger looks absurd when you see him. He looks cool when he'south riding his motorbike, merely when it's time to fight a bad guy, it's short and boring, much like the story.

I don't know much about Ghost Rider comics or if this movie was good adaptation of it but what I know is that when I watched this movie at that time I enjoyed watching it. It is skillful with activeness and entertainment. Yes, casting was not strong and story felt lilliputian flake loose but overall it is a good entertainer.
